Our Method
Palm Retreat uses one reading frame for every entry. This page explains that frame, what we refuse to invent, and why the official listing remains the final authority.
The categories every entry is read through: arrival, rooms, dining, public space, surroundings
Each property is approached in the same order. Arrival covers how the building meets its road, shore or mountain edge. Rooms cover the character of the lodging without inventing inventories we do not have.
Dining is described only at the level of presence within the property — never by naming restaurants that were not supplied in our source notes. Public space covers lobbies, corridors and any age-restricted floors that sit apart from guest wings.
Surroundings close the frame: countryside, downtown, waterfront or mountain context drawn from the fixed location and setting tags. The result is a comparable structure across Alberta, Saskatchewan, Quebec and British Columbia.
Why the entries carry no prices, no availability and no star-ranking of our own
Rates move. Inventory moves. Palm Retreat is not a booking channel and does not mirror either figure. Printing a number here would imply authority we do not hold.
Star classes shown in our source data are the property’s stated class, not a score we invent. We do not re-rank venues against each other or publish guest review scores.
Independence requires that silence. The guide describes place and structure; commercial terms belong on the official listing page for that property alone.
Where the photography comes from and what it does and does not show
Photographs on this site illustrate the entry they accompany. They show a building, ground or view at a particular moment. They are not a promise about a specific room on a specific date.
Each venue card uses one designated image. Homepage sections use a closed set of additional frames for atmosphere and navigation only. Unused files in the project library are left unused on purpose.
Images do not replace description. If a facility is not named in the written entry, the photograph does not invent it. Alt text names the property and place without ratings or commercial language.
How to use the listing links, and why the official listing page is always the authority
Every venue card ends with a single outbound control labelled Open the Listing Page. That is the only kind of link that leaves palmretreat.online, and it appears only on that venue’s card.
Follow it when you want policies, house rules or any detail that changes over time. The listing is operated by a third party; Palm Retreat neither controls nor monitors it after you leave.
If the listing and this guide disagree, trust the listing. For questions about our own copy — corrections, clarifications, method — use Write to Us instead.
